GROUP CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Classic Barre- a great way to work your core!  Pilates Mat sculpts muscle.  Pilates standing Barre classes chisel muscle!  This class uses the best from Pilates, yoga, and dance classes to work the body!

Cardio Barre-Barre class with a kick! Cardio Barre implements foundational barre movements as well as plyometrics and cardiovascular exercises. This is a high energy class!

Pilates Mat with Props is the foundation for all training at Peakland Pilates. Joseph Pilates’ principles of breathing, centering, control, fluidity, precision, and concentration are at the heart of his mind/body practice of “Contrology”. Improve posture, balance, flexibility, core strength, body awareness and muscle tone. Each class will be different, incorporating Magic Circles, Swiss Balls, Weighted Toning Balls, Mini-Stability Balls, and Flex Bands.

Pilates Suspension-The Pilates Suspension Method combines traditional and contemporary mat Pilates and equipment based Pilates exercises and performs them on the TRX. Pilates Suspension Method is a perfect compliment to your traditional Pilates practice.

TRX* (total body resistance exercise) is the most traditionally athletic class at Peakland Pilates. You’ll be squatting, lunging, planking, pushing and pulling while using your own body weight as resistance. So how does this fit in with Pilates? Easy – it’s all core all the time. *RESERVATIONS and prepayment required for TRX group classes – five participants maximum; 24 hour cancellation policy. Contact us at peaklandpilates@gmail.com

TRX* Circuit, led by Stephannie, include TRX, cardio, strength, and Pilates. They can vary in size week to week, and rates vary accordingly. Custom small groups are also available with content, day and time to suit you!

SMALL GROUPS

Pilates Equipment Classes- train on reformers, cadillac, and stability chairs in groups of 4-5 people.  Our Pilates Equipment Classes are scheduled by levels.  Improve your flexibility, strength, and overall well-being!  Classes entail use of jump boards, towers, reformers, and chairs.  Every class is different! (4-5 people maximum)

Pilates Equipment Level 1/2-you will learn essential and intermediate exercises.  Gain confidence and strength so you can move into level 2 Pilates classes.  Please note, if you are new to Pilates it is strongly recommended that you take at least 5 Private Pilates sessions before joining level 1/2 classes.

Pilates Equipment Level 2-this level helps you to master intermediate Pilates exercises on all apparatus.  You will increase flexibility and strength.  We promise you will leave feeling refreshed and energized.

Pilates Equipment Level 2/3- incorporates more intense intermediate exercises and utilizes props like the fitness circle, mini-stability ball, and small hand weights to add challenge and take your pilates training to the next level! Designed for the experienced pilates student.

Pilates Equipment Level 2 Plus Cardio-Ready for an intense workout?!  In Pilates Equipment Plus Cardio you will gain strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular stamina.  Pilates equipment exercises are incorporated with HITT training intervals for a total body workout.

TRX/Pilates is a great intro class for anyone who is interested in TRX but hesitant to try a class.  This is a level 2 class.  You will spend 30 minutes learning TRX basic exercises and 30 minutes learning beginner and intermediate Stott Pilates exercises.  No experience necessary! (4 people maximum)

Cardio Jump with Props-Get ready to get your heart rate up and tone your muscles! This classes utilizes cardio trampolines, props, and incorporates Pilates mat exercises for overall body training. Great for athletes and welcome to all levels. (4 people maximum)
